Archuleta County, Colorado, is a county situated in the United States. According to the 2020 census, the county had a population of 13,359 people, and its county seat is Pagosa Springs, which is also the only incorporated town within the county. The county was established on April 14, 1885, by the Colorado legislature, and was formed from the western part of Conejos County. It was named after Jose Manuel Archuleta, a prominent member of one of the old Spanish families of New Mexico, and his son Antonio D. Archuleta, who served as a Senator from Conejos County during that period.
